Common People Brewing Co is a craft brewery and taproom at 9 Dudgeons Lane in Bangalow, a short regional stop for anyone exploring the Byron Bay area. The venue is set within a working production brewery, so a visit combines a place to drink with a look at the brewery’s own local approach. Its beers include an ongoing core range, seasonal releases and limited special batches, with the selection changing as new brews become available.

The brewery’s range covers familiar styles as well as more experimental releases. There is also an Australian wine selection for visitors who are not drinking beer.

Common People was started by family and friends, most of whom were born and raised in the Northern Rivers before returning to raise their own families. That connection informs both the beer and the brewery’s wider community focus. The business says it works with local suppliers, farmers and producers where possible, donates spent grain to nearby livestock farmers, and supports events including the Bangalow Film Festival, Bangalow Show and Billycart Derby.
