Lennox Head Cultural Centre

Lennox Head Cultural Centre is a council-operated venue in Lennox Head, Byron Bay, with the scale and flexibility to host everything from community activities and classes to conferences, weddings, private functions and live events. Its main auditorium seats up to 500 people, while the venue as a whole can accommodate up to 550, making it one of the larger event spaces in the Northern Rivers.

The centre reopened in late 2020 following a $2.58 million upgrade. Improvements included better auditorium acoustics, a laser projector and a six-metre retractable screen, giving presentations, screenings and performances a more capable setting. The site also includes five meeting rooms that can connect with one another, a large open foyer, a commercial kitchen, an interview room, a dedicated children’s area and the CWA Hall.

Its setting is a major part of the venue’s appeal. The centre sits in the seaside town of Lennox Head, across from Seven Mile Beach, while remaining practical for organised events and gatherings. The mix of auditorium, meeting rooms and shared spaces suits larger productions as well as smaller sessions, workshops and community functions. The children’s area may also be useful for family-focused events, while the foyer and kitchen support functions that need room for arrivals, breaks or catering arrangements.

Ballina Shire Council manages the centre as part of a wider group of venues across Ballina, Lennox Head and Alstonville. Furniture is supplied at no extra charge, with additional equipment available for hire by arrangement, and discounted rates are offered to community and not-for-profit organisations. For bookings, the listed access hours are 6am to 11pm from Sunday to Thursday and 6am to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
