Mullumbimby Showground

Set beneath Mount Chincogan, Mullumbimby Showground is a practical base for visitors wanting to camp near Mullumbimby town centre and explore the Byron Bay region. The grounds are about 1.3 km west of the town centre and are open to the public for recreation, with both powered and unpowered camping sites available. Campers have access to toilets, showers and laundry facilities, and the campground is pet friendly. Rates listed on the venue’s website are for two guests, with separate single-guest pricing.

The showground is more than a place to stay. Its broad grounds and facilities are used for weddings, exhibitions, festivals, workshops, classes, birthdays, circus events and other community gatherings. The Showring is suited to larger events and has lush grass, three-phase power, parking and amenities. Fig Tree Grove offers another outdoor setting with access to power, parking and amenities, while the Food Hall includes an adjoining awning and the option to hire a commercial kitchen.

The Market Precinct provides road access, amenities and substantial parking, and is the regular home of the Mullum Farmers Market. The Food Hall and surrounding spaces can be hired separately, giving organisers several formats to consider depending on the size and style of their event.

The Mullum Farmers Market runs every Friday from 7am to 11am, with local music and a dedicated children’s area, and the Mullumbimby Agricultural Show is listed as an upcoming event for 6–8 November 2026.
