Tom Tom Thai brings a broad Thai menu to 15 Tweed Street in Brunswick Heads, with dine-in and takeaway options, online ordering and a fully licensed setup. The restaurant also runs Tommy’s Bubble Tea from 12.30pm Tuesday to Sunday. Bookings are recommended, particularly if you are planning to eat in with a group.

The menu covers familiar Thai favourites alongside seafood, salads, soups, curries and wok dishes. Pad Thai is made with thin rice noodles, bean sprouts and crushed peanuts, while Tom Yum offers a spicy and sour soup with a choice of meat, seafood or vegetables and tofu. Som Tum combines green papaya, peanuts, herbs and spices, with the option of adding grilled prawns. Curries range from red and green coconut-based versions to Panang, Massamun and a roast duck and lychee curry, with mild, medium and hot preferences available for the curry and soup sections.

The chef’s signature section includes a local line-caught whole fish with dry curry sauce and crispy basil, offered at market price, as well as grilled or fried barramundi served with steamed vegetables, dry curry sauce and crispy basil. Pad Ped Duck features roast duck with prik king curry paste, chilli and basil. Other choices include stir-fries, laksa, fried rice, noodle dishes, salads and a selection of entrees such as spring rolls, curry puffs, fish cakes and chicken satay.

Tom Tom Thai was established by Matt and Elle Jackson as a Brunswick Heads venue following their work with Mullumbimby’s Spice it Up Thai. Their menu is built around dishes enjoyed by regular customers, along with newer creations, and the kitchen says it uses locally sourced ingredients where possible. Vegetarian, vegan-modified and gluten-free options are marked across the menu, although diners with allergies are asked to speak with staff because some dishes may contain traces of shellfish, dairy or nuts.
